How can I verify a dentist’s qualifications in Hillsboro?

Check the Oregon Dental Board website for the dentist’s license status and any disciplinary actions. Look for board certification in a specialty, which is listed on the American Dental Association or specialty society sites. Membership in professional groups such as the Oregon Dental Association also signals ongoing education.

What should I look for when reading patient reviews?

Focus on comments about the dentist’s communication, punctuality, and how comfortable you felt during treatment. Consistent praise for thorough explanations and gentle technique is a good sign. Be cautious of repeated complaints about rushed appointments, billing surprises, or unprofessional behavior, as these can affect the overall experience.

How do I schedule my first visit?

Call the office during its business hours and ask to speak with the front desk staff about new patient appointments. Have your dental insurance information ready, and be prepared to describe the reason for your visit so the team can allocate appropriate time. Confirm the date, time, and any pre‑visit instructions before ending the call.
