How can I evaluate a dentist’s quality in St. Louis?

Read reviews on sites like Google, Healthgrades, and the state dental board to see patient experiences. Look for consistent comments about thorough exams, gentle technique, and clear communication. Confirm the dentist’s credentials, years in practice, and whether they stay current with continuing education.

What should I ask during my first appointment?

Ask about the dentist’s approach to preventive care, how they handle pain management, and what options exist for any needed procedures. Inquire whether they use digital imaging, the typical waiting time for appointments, and how they coordinate with insurance. Clarify any costs that may not be covered.

How often should I schedule routine check‑ups?

Most dentists recommend a dental exam and cleaning every six months, but the interval can vary based on oral health, risk factors, and treatment history. Your St. Louis dentist will suggest a schedule that matches your specific needs after the initial evaluation.
