What should I look for in a dentist’s qualifications?

Check that the dentist holds a current state license and, for specialized care, board certification in that field. Look for additional training, years of practice in the area, and any affiliations with reputable dental schools or professional societies. These details give confidence in the clinician’s expertise and commitment to ongoing education.

How can I use online reviews to choose a dentist in St. Petersburg?

Read a range of recent reviews on several platforms, noting comments about punctuality, bedside manner, and how the office handles emergencies or follow‑up care. Look for consistent themes rather than isolated complaints. Pay attention to feedback from patients with similar treatment needs, as their experiences can indicate how well the practice manages those services.

What questions are helpful to ask before my first appointment?

Before the first visit, ask whether the dentist has experience treating your specific condition and what the typical treatment timeline looks like. Inquire about the practice’s cleaning and sterilization protocols, payment options, and whether they offer a clear estimate of costs after the initial exam. Knowing these details helps set realistic expectations.
