What should I look for in a dentist’s online reviews?

Focus on patterns rather than isolated comments. Consistent praise for gentle technique, clear communication, and clean facilities signals reliability. Note any recurring concerns about rushed appointments or billing issues, and compare the overall tone across multiple platforms.

How can I verify a dentist’s qualifications?

Check the dentist’s license status on the California Dental Board website and confirm any specialty certifications. Many offices list their credentials on their website, and professional memberships often indicate a commitment to ongoing education.

What questions are important to ask during a first call?

Ask about the range of services offered, accepted insurance plans, typical wait times for new patients, and the process for emergency care. Inquire whether the office provides a tour or meets the team before the first appointment.
